Spring 2010: ISSEY MIYAKE

Issey Miyake’s spring/summer 2010 collection was a melting pot of different cultural looks from around the world. A wide range of prints and woven pieces gave off a very bohemian/free spirited vibe in this collection. Colorful, draped silhouettes were framed with fitted vests and jackets. Rothko-esque prints were juxtaposed against swirling watercolor-like silks. The designs were not groundbreaking, but they were beautifully crafted and moved gracefully on the runway.
