Hit the Road

Tomorrow morning, Jennie and I will be hitting the road and embarking on our journey down to Manchester, Tennessee for Bonnaroo!

Not to toot my own horn but when it comes to packing for trips, I’m about as organized as you can get. I always have a giant check-off list and lay everything out on my bed before I put it into my suitcase. Although we still have yet to buy lots of Bonnaroo essentials (i.e. food, charcoal, a tarp, bug spray, etc.), the tent, cooler, and chairs are loaded up into the car as well as my festival clothing, accessories, and other trinkets and treasures. And, those are the most important things, right?

I think I’ve got just about everything that I mentioned in this post, along with some other necessities like my headbands, sleeping bag, sunglasses, some toiletries, and bathing suits. I bought all of my dresses at Forever21 and am in love with all their different prints. From the delicate blue roses to the wild tribal patterns, I can’t wait to throw these on and romp around the 700 acre field listening to live music.

Among my “must-see” bands are: Neon Indian, Mayer Hawthorne & the County, the xx, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, The National, Kings of Leon, The Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon, LCD Soundsystem, Jimmy Cliff, Stevie Wonder, The Dead Weather, Jay Z, Thievery Corporation, Ween and Dave Matthews Band. But there are SO many other bands that I can hardly wait to see.

So my darling readers, I will not be back on Runway Hippie until next Tuesday, and I will miss you all dearly! But I promise to take lots of photos and come back with a full report of Bonnaroo and all of my wonderful experiences.
