mon nouveau vélo

Back in April I wrote about my desire to own a bike in NYC. Well, I’ve gone ahead and kicked the desire bucket and purchased one this past weekend.

I bought it from Target for a mere $179 buckeroos and it is now sitting in Connecticut, waiting to get a ride with my cousin back to New York. All I can say is I cannot wait to give it a spin around my neighborhood. Much like a new dress, I am already daydreaming about what accessories I want to add to my new bicycle. While I don’t see myself adding tassels to the handlebars, a wicker basket and bike bell are two bike necessities. For those of you who are avid city riders, I’d love some suggestions on which bike locks that you prefer and any other bike suggestions you may have!
