Black Swan

Last Friday my friend Sevan came over for a much needed hang session which included good conversation heightened by a few bottles of wine and delicious thai food that we consumed at rapid speed. While the night could have easily continued as a casual jeans and t-shirt kind of evening, we instead decided to change things up a bit and got ridiculously dressed up for a fun photo shoot on my roof. The weather was unreasonably beautiful that night, to the point that I could have easily been comfortable in a t-shirt and flip flops.
With the Academy Awards coming up, I couldn’t help but draw inspiration from the amazing Rodarte costumes in Black Swan (even though I’m rooting for The King’s Speech), so I put on my feathery black blazer, a body hugging mini-skirt and possibly the softest t-shirt I own. I topped the whole look off with a bold red lip and shimmery black heels that aren’t necessarily the most comfortable shoes in my closet, but they certainly give a look that extra bit of glamor. Even though I only wore this outfit for a night of silly dress-up, I would definitely wear this again either at a more formal dinner out on the town or perhaps to see Swan Lake in Lincoln Center.

this is a very interesting look, you look so grown up but in the most fashionable way. You are good in black. I love the combination with the feathers, the jewelry, the with t-shirt and the red lipstick. You have mixed elegant pieces with completely rock and rolla. You’ve nailed it. Ps I love the setting

love love the outfit! I need a necklace like that. Is it a combo or just one? Where can I get a good junky necklace?

thank you for having responded to me. I can ask you another question? and sorry to bother you, but I do not know whether to buy the lipstick Ruby Woo because I have heard that dries the lips so much and it is not comfortable, is that true? however the colour is really beautiful
