Hang on Little Tomato

Ever since I saw the Rebecca Taylor tomato red dress come down the runway last fall (see here), I’ve waited patiently for it to hit stores. When I found out that the spring collection was on the racks, I searched high and low for the dress only to find that it was never produced. Woe is me. So after a shedding a few tears and throwing a few temper tantrums, I happily settled on its skirt version which has quickly made its way to being my favorite article of clothing for spring. Even though I received this skirt over a month ago, the crappy weather and my pasty white skin has prevented me from being able to wear it. However, last Thursday’s weather was so beautiful that I decided to overlook my transparent flesh tone and wore it to a few collection previews and a visit to the dog park with Finn. I can’t wait to wear it again with other pieces in my closet and transition it into evening apparel as well.

    that skirt is fab – you’re right the dress was amazing too, but i think you did well with the skirt. it looks like a great piece to put outfits together around!

    love seeing you wearing red, it looks fabulous. you should wear more color, it makes you glow and it looks fantastic with your hair color. i love the combination of that romantic skirt and that tough jacket. fabulous blouse.
