as ruínas

May 30, 2011

Oi from Brazil! I arrived in São Paolo early Friday morning, had a bit of chill time at Erin‘s apartment and then headed back to the airport to jet off to Rio where we’ve been for the past three days. So far I love everything; the culture, the people, the food, the shopping – I’m never leaving.

Just kidding…

On our first day the weather was a bit wishy-washy so we crossed some sight seeing off our list and ventured up to Santa Teresa Parque das Ruinas which was not only beautiful in its construction but offered some of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. There was a consistent “Oh my God, this is amazing!” with literally every floor that Erin and I climbed. After exploring the ruins we satisfied our hunger with scrum-diddly-umptious Brazilian food at a restaurant called Aprazível which also offered impressive views of Rio.

I obviously have much more to report, but the beach is calling so stay tuned for tomorrow’s post!!
