…:: Hot Child in the City ::…

This heat wave needs to come to an end. I pretty much want to kill myself anytime I step outside of an air conditioned building and yet, for the past two days it seems like all I’ve done is bounce around the city from meeting to meeting in this suffocating oven of a city. Certainly makes me miss my summers in San Francisco where the fog is a plenty and pants are always an option.
This outfit is probably one of the more lightweight looks I’ve ever put on. The shirt is so thin it’s basically see-through, the skirt is flowy and flouncy, and the blazer (worn infrequently during the day) is an airy linen-like fabric that acts as a light layer when or if needed.
I admit it’s not easy getting dressed in this heat, but lightweight pieces have become my closest friends and I’m sure I’ll miss them when all I’m wearing are heavy sweaters and puffy coats. Ah, the life of dressing seasonally.
