Daddy Long Legs

As much as I love a high-waisted skirt, the whole high-waisted pants thing has never really felt “right” for me. For starters, all I can ever think about is that scene in Dazed and Confused when the girls have to zip each others pants up with pliers (for those of you who don’t know this movie, well, I’m sorry). And the other factor in my high-waisted pants debacle is that they can sometimes make me feel too, for lack of a better word, womanly. Hubba hubba.
Having said all that, this marvelous pair of extra high-waisted, extra long, extra red Alice & Olivia pants are a whole other can of hot pepper high-waisted worms. They’re almost too long for me (I have to wear at least 5 inch heels with them), they’re almost too high for me (they fasten well above my belly button), and they’re almost too red for me (I wore them on New Years and was heckled “thats a lot of red…” it is, creepy heckler, it is). But despite all that too much crap, they happen to be one of my most beloved pairs of pantalónes in my closet. Along with being the closest thing to pajamas in fabric, they make my legs look like they’re a mile long which, let’s face it, is never a bad thing. Unless you’re actually a Daddy Long Legged spider in which case, I am going to squish you. Too da loo.

This outfit is gorgeous! Love how you matched all the reds together!
Great pants!
Those pants look awesome. That last photo is a bit scary though. You could really rip out the hems stamping them
