Kentucky Fried Pajamas

When I first saw this Kentucky Fried Chicken mural I swore I wouldn’t use it as a backdrop to one of my outfit posts. But then I was wearing a pajama inspired outfit and really, what better place to eat fried chicken than in your pajamas.

I’m reaching that point in August where I would give just about anything to roll in a pile of leaves while wearing multiple layers, which I guess is just a stupid way of repeating that I’m really ready for fall. I need a break from skirts and dresses but I don’t do well in heat with the skinny jeans thigh suction. So, as an alternative, I’ve been opting for loose fitting pants that leave room for that teensy bit of breeze that comes when a car passes by.

While I’ll admit that it’s not the most flattering, ladylike silhouette, sometimes (read: always), it’s about dressing in what feels good in the moment (and in the current climate).
