On the Hunt, Again

Ok, remember how amazing you guys were when I was on the hunt for those Alexander Wang heels? I so appreciated all your emails with links to ones on sale and similar styles.
Well, I have a new hunt for you amazing readers!
The Mulberry Edie bag from their Spring 2011 collection.
A few days ago I was on the ever-so-crowded subway and was squashed next to a girl carrying this delightful tote. At first I noticed the signature Mulberry closure and then I saw the strap. My first thought, “oh, that’s an interesting idea! Putting a decorative camera/guitar strap on instead of the leather one!” but then I looked more closely. The strap had the Mulberry tree on it as well! Hot diggity dog! That’s a full on Mulberry bag! HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN IT!
So what did I do? I creepily snapped a picture of her bag and began my hunt on the interwebs. So far, I’ve had no luck tracking down one of these beauties. You all know how much I LOVE bags…so, any ideas where I can score one!?
I love you forever.
Secret Weapon

As per a reader request, I’m currently putting together an updated post on my daily beauty routine. This naturally has me paying extra close attention to the products that I use and the ones I love the most.
Last week my friend and I were discussing what beauty product or tool we would use for the rest of our lives if we were only allowed to have one. Without a moments hesitation I said an eyelash curler. She looked at me strangely and said, “don’t you mean mascara?” But I didn’t. I meant an eyelash curler. Get it right sister.
I carry one with me wherever I go (I have at least five) and with just one crimp on each lash line I feel 10 times more put together— no matter how tired, pimpley, or hungover I may be.
Do you guys have one beauty product/tool you can’t live without? I’d love to hear.
Hey Good Lookin, Lookin at Yourself!

Something I find annoying: when people wear mirrored sunglasses and I try to have a conversation with them but all I can see is my reflection. This goes hand in hand with eating dinner with someone at a restaurant and they happen to be seated in front of a mirror. No matter how interesting the conversation, I can’t help check myself out. Hey good lookin! How you doin!?
As goes with any annoyance, pet peeve, or general hatred of something, I of course don’t mind when I am the person seated in front of the mirror or wearing mirrored sunglasses. Check yourself out all you want, I know what you’re up to! And yes, that is spinach in your teeth.
Last season Rag & Bone sent reflector sunglasses down their runway and while I made a mental note to buy them once they became available, I just can’t justify $400 sunnies. I lose those suckers.
But then I came across a brand called Spektre. Almost identical in style and reflectability (aware that’s not a word) but at a fraction of the price (~$109)? Sign this sister up! Below are a few of my favorite styles including these, these, and these. Can’t you already hear you friends thanking you for wearing a pair of shades that double as a mirror for them to apply that ruby red lipstick?

Stella, I Love You

As much as I obsess over fashion, it’s very rare that an entire collection has me moaning and groaning, weak at the knees in love with it. Stella McCartney however, is almost always an exception, and her Resort 2013 collection has me so infatuated I feel like I’ve been hit with a mack truck full of psychedelic swirls and colors. In other words, I’m tripping out right now…metaphorically speaking.
Between the flared trousers, oversize structured blazers, and iridescent clutches, I may as well sell all of my belongings so I can purchase this entire collection from head to pointy-toe. Guess I better start saving up now…

Dreaming of Silk

Ever since I wore those billowy silk Elizabeth and James trousers, jeans or really any type of pant feel like restrictive sausage casings. But that’s to be expected when you’re essentially wearing pajama pants outside, right?
This trend is nothing new, in fact it’s safe to say I’m late to the game, but breezy trousers are all I want to wear these days as the temps start rising. I mean who wouldn’t want to to feel a breeze up their legs without having the fear of pulling a Marilyn Monroe?
I haven’t pulled the trigger on buying another pair – who knows how long this trend will last – but I have a feeling one or two more silky trousers will find their way into my wardrobe before the summer’s out.
Thoughts on this trend? Yay? Nay? Hey? Ok!
