On the Hunt, Again

Ok, remember how amazing you guys were when I was on the hunt for those Alexander Wang heels? I so appreciated all your emails with links to ones on sale and similar styles.
Well, I have a new hunt for you amazing readers!
The Mulberry Edie bag from their Spring 2011 collection.
A few days ago I was on the ever-so-crowded subway and was squashed next to a girl carrying this delightful tote. At first I noticed the signature Mulberry closure and then I saw the strap. My first thought, “oh, that’s an interesting idea! Putting a decorative camera/guitar strap on instead of the leather one!” but then I looked more closely. The strap had the Mulberry tree on it as well! Hot diggity dog! That’s a full on Mulberry bag! HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN IT!
So what did I do? I creepily snapped a picture of her bag and began my hunt on the interwebs. So far, I’ve had no luck tracking down one of these beauties. You all know how much I LOVE bags…so, any ideas where I can score one!?
I love you forever.
Primary Colors

The first day of spring beckons something colorful and breezy, so when I woke up yesterday morning I looked no further than this Marc by Marc Jacobs dress that’s been hanging in my closet since last summer. It’s one of the few lightweight pieces that didn’t get tucked away during the winter months as I was convinced I would wear it with black booties, a leather jacket, and lots of snowy accessoires; but alas I never did and it’s thus been occupying space and staring at me for 6+ months.
Happy to take it out for a twirl (note: if you twirl fast enough you look like a beach umbrella – just sayin’), I let the dress take the spotlight and traded in the lightweight ribbon belt and simple sandals I paired it with last summer for bolder accessories. Weird how adding bulkier pieces make something whimsical stand out that much more; then again, the primary colors in this twirly number are enough to bring a speeding taxicab to a full stop…true story. Just call me the traffic ninja. Or don’t.

A Year in Review

My 2011 felt a bit like a giant puzzle – all these little pieces that come together to make something spectacular. As much as I’d like to pinpoint my #1 highlight of the year, I think it’s the combination of everything that has made it one of my best yet.
I normally approach a new year without so much of a resolution to “go to the gym more” or “have more fun” but this year I’m actually stepping into 2012 with a list of resolutions and a positive outlook. Am I becoming less cynical!? Perhaps. Or perhaps this is what they call being “grown-up.” Either way, I can’t wait to participate in all the exciting adventures that await me in 2012.
3..2…1…HAPPY NEW YEAR!

ending on a sweet note…i do really love you SO much!
Holiday Blowouts
Thanksgiving is practically a week away, I’ve booked my plane ticket back to San Francisco for Christmas, and I’ve got about five parties coming up in the next couple of weeks – suffice it to say, the holiday season is here!
Fa la la la la la la la la!
As with every holiday season (see here and here), I’m on the hunt for a few new festive dresses to make the coming month that much more exciting. While last year my picks were a bit more scattered, this year I’ve narrowed my party dress wishlist down to three categories/trends: bold patterns, updated LBDs, and sequins and embellishments. Now comes the even harder part of narrowing it down to just one or two pieces!
Which ones would you choose? (Keep in mind the Thanksgiving dress always needs a bit of room around the waist…)

A Week in Review

{ Vintage inspired fabrics from Paul & Joe }
This week was long, exhausting, and entirely amazing. Starting off early Monday morning with a press preview for a number of my favorite designers including Paul & Joe to spending the rest of the week devoted entirely to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. It was incredible to be able to go backstage, see all the girls, and then watch them walk the runway in outfits that I could only dream of wearing…for Halloween that is. You can find my complete coverage of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Modelinia.
I couldn’t be more thrilled that it’s Friday – especially because I woke up this morning, looked out the window and realized that Fall has officially arrived. It’s as if the trees changed their color over night. Or maybe I was just too busy to notice. Either way I can’t wait to enjoy all of it this weekend.
