Boots For Me, Boots For You (Giveaway)

November 21, 2012

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.

Congratulations Katy! You won the giveaway!

Thank you all for entering and making me seriously hungry with all your festive feast favorites!

Don’t forget that you can still get 30% off any pair of Alberto Fermani boots today using the code runwayboots.

ENJOY!

I’m one of the few people in the world who seriously loves the holidays. Give me some Christmas tunes, turkey, cozy sweaters, and festive lights and I’m beaming from ear to ear.

The one issue with the holidays however, and I know I’m not alone here, is the inevitable tightening of pants. Between the cheese, the stuffing, the sweets, and copious amounts of butter, I may as well surrender myself now to a personal trainer.

But while pants get tighter and bras loosen a notch, shoes continue to fit and since it’s cold outside there are even more options! Pumps. Boots. Sneakers. Heeled boots. Wedged sneakers. I could go on.

In honor of the button bursting holidays, I bring you a very special boots promotion with Alberto Fermani! Starting today through Monday, November 26th, you can enter to win a pair of Alberto Fermani boots of your choosing (though I can attest that the one’s I’m wearing in this post are comfortable, flattering, and a new found must-have in my wardrobe).

Should you not be the lucky winner of this kickass giveaway, fear not, I’ve got something else in my boot for you. Starting Saturday November 24 through Cyber Monday the 26th, Alberto Fermani is giving all Runway Hippie readers an extra 30% off. Just use the code runwayboots to get your discount!

Now come the rules on entering the giveaway:

1. Like Runway Hippie and Alberto Fermani on Facebook

2. Leave a comment in the comment section below telling me your favorite holiday dish.

3. I will announce the winner on Monday! Good luck!

* Unfortunately, this giveaway is for US residents only.

Americana

April 5, 2012

Unless it’s a Bruce Springsteen concert or the 4th of July, an outfit composed of red, white, and blue is usually a “no no” for me. Kind of like wearing red and green around the holidays – another “no no.” There’s spirit and then there’s spirit and the line between the two is very slender - you’re either the obnoxious person who shows up at a holiday party dressed like a Christmas tree or the meany who refuses to wear any sort of patriotic color combo on July 4th. Come on, not even a blue stripe on your sweater? A star? What gives!?

I received this pair of A|X Armani Exchange pants a couple of weeks ago and admit the whole red pants thing is still a bit of a challenge for me. I either go monochromatic or end up looking like I have more American pride than Uncle Sam. But last week I decided to give in to my nationality and hold up my American passport for all the world to see – not really – though as you can see I did go patriotic from head-to-pointy toe. Sometimes you just gotta embrace a look with a big ol’ bear hug and say to hell with what everyone else thinks (or what my mirror is telling me).

{ Bop Basics blazer, Joe Fresh blouse (similar here), A|X Armani Exchange pants c/0, Boutique 9 heels c/o, Zara bag, Ray Ban aviators, Forever21 & nOir jewelry bracelets, vintage watch }

Like my pants? Want some of your own so you can give Uncle Sam a run for his George Washington dollar bills? Then check this out and meet me there!

Spratters & Jayne

November 9, 2011

Scarves are one of my favorite fall/winter accessories. They spice up any outfit and obviously, keep my neck from turning into an ice cube.

Spratters & Jayne has some of the most unique and cozy scarves I’ve ever seen and I’ve recently fallen in love with this hooded number they sent over. Tripling as a hat, scarf, and hoodie this scarf is about as brilliant as it gets.

Good news for you, they’re offering all Runway Hippie readers a 15% discount for the next two weeks! All you have to do is enter the code “runwayhippie15″ at checkout and poof! this scarf or any of the other ones will be yours at a discounted price!

Do I love you guys or what?

The Olive Shoppe

June 28, 2010

The Olive Shoppe has been one of my favorite stores on Ebay since I started my obsession with the online auction site six years ago. I went into deep mourning when they stopped updating their Ebay shop, so you can imagine my excitement when I received their newsletter stating that they’d finally created their own personal online store.

Based out of Beijing, the Olive Shoppe has an incredible assortment of beautiful vintage pieces as well as fresh unique clothes by new and upcoming designers. I guarantee that you won’t find clothes like these at any other store or on any other site. So, it is with great pleasure that I present to you a 10% discount on all Olive Shoppe purchases from now through July 11th, 2010. Just enter the coupon code “RunwayHippie”  upon checkout to receive this special offer.

Below are some of my Olive Shoppe picks. Now get shopping!
