After much uncertainty, thanks to bloggers like Perez Hilton, WWD has announced that Lindsay Lohan has signed on with Spanish designed Emanuel Ungaro as the artistic adviser.

Like many other designers in this recession, Ungaro is really struggling. Marketing advisers said that the only way to save this brand was by bringing a celebrity into the picture. What better way to do it than bring in one of the most controversial and sought after celebs, Lindsay Lohan.

While it’s totally obvious that they’re using her for publicity, I have to admit that it has already caught my attention. Lohan talks about how she wants to bring the collection to a “younger place” and I can’t lie that that’s not a bad idea. The collection is said to debut in Paris on October 4th…so let’s keep our fingers crossed that Lindsay pulls through and that Ungaro will be saved from disappearing into thin air.
