I love The Row’s Spring 2010 Lookbook. The earthy styling really makes the clothes stand out and shows off the elegance of the fabric.
Spring 2010: PHI
Andreas Melbostad, designer of Phi, said that he tried to create a contrasted look of hard vs. soft. With tough leather juxtaposed against soft sheer fabric, the models had an rough and edgy look that was softened with their natural beachy hair and bits of flowing, delicate fabric. Details were key in Melbostad’s designs, as he had pants that laced up on the side, or were covered in sharp cut-outs. A muted palette of blacks, whites and tans were helpful in emphasizing the soft vs. hard theme he was going for. Anything brighter would have been distracting to the detailing and fabric choices. I can imagine seeing some of these looks on Mary-Kate Olsen and Erin Wasson.
Fashion’s Night Out: Bartending Olsen’s
The Olsen twins…pardon my french…Mary Kate and Ashley were bartending all around Fashion’s Night Out last night.
And apparently…and not surprisingly…it was a MADHOUSE. I don’t know what people were thinking trying to get the Olsen’s to serve drinks…talk about Sophie’s choice!! Do I take the drink or do I try and get a photo with the Olsen’s?? How can I manage both without security yelling at me?? These would be the thoughts running through my head atleast…
WWD even tweeted: “The security for the Olsens got rid of glasses on the bar as they were worried people would throw them because they were so late to appear.”
Poor girls. But, they managed to do it lookin cute and with a smile on their face!

Mary Kate looks sun-kissed to perfection in this shot with her dewy skin and bleach blonde hair. I love how her poking out bra matches her nails.
